MILK POETRY Milk Poetry was founded in 2015 by Malaika Kegode and Graham Chilcott and has been running ever since. I joined in 2018 and currently co-host and produce with Malaika. Named one of the UK’s top spoken word nights by Picador Books. Milk Poetry has helped start the careers of some of the finest spoken word artists in the country and is one of Bristol’s longest-running poetry organisations. Milk has featured at festivals all over the South West and in partnership with national arts organisations like Apples and Snakes has run several mentoring programs. Milk poetry has an inclusive and celebratory ethos; constantly excited by the joy of writing we aim to lift and share the incredible poets and musicians in the South West with an ever growing audience! |

DEBUT COLLECTION: December 2019 ...and then she ate him In "... and then she ate him" Denbigh's wickedly beautiful writing holds up a distorted mirror to the world. Deftly weaving the queer experience alongside tales of friends and strangers, Tom toys with myth, devilish humour, and absurdity to portray the bizarre and brilliant in the everyday. Imagination is brought to life in this unique collection that is thought-provoking, insightful and startlingly joyous. Published by Burning Eye Books |
